Samsung's Galaxy Tab S4 Leaked: Here's What to Expect

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab S4 tablet just got one step closer to launch.

The folks over at SamMobile have discovered that the Galaxy Tab S4 has earned its Bluetooth certification, reaching another milestone on its way to an eventual launch. The certification comes just days after Samsung was able to secure a certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance in the beginning of May.

While the certification isn't much to write home about, what it reveals might be.

The certification says that Samsung's tablet will come with support for Bluetooth 5.0. According to SamMobile, the Bluetooth 5.0 inclusion points to the strong likelihood of the tablet being powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor or newer Snapdragon 845, since older processor options don't support the fast wireless standard.

A benchmark that surfaced earlier this year on GFXBench pointed to other features we can possibly expect in the Galaxy Tab S4. Chief among them is a 10.5-inch screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The benchmark also said that the device being tested had a 13-megapixel rear camera, 4GB of onboard memory, and 64GB of storage. It's expected the Tab S4 will come with both Wi-Fi and LTE-ready models, according to SamMobile.

In general, we liked the Galaxy Tab S3, thanks to its colorful AMOLED display, S Pen integration and powerful AKG speakers. However, the battery life was just okay, and the price was steep at $599. And now that Apple has a new $329 9.7-inch iPad, Samsung will need to step up its game.
